Does your kid need to bring a treat to school on Halloween? Do you have limited time to make cute class Halloween treats, but you don’t want to just bring in a bag of KitKat bars? Read on for easy class Halloween treats that are spooky and festive without a big time commitment!

Class Halloween treats can be tricky. They need to tick a lot of boxes: no nuts, pre-packaged, no refrigeration needed, and appealing to picky kids. It hard to find many things that satisfy all of these requirements. For the last few years, I’ve just thrown up my hands and sent in a bag of KitKat bars or a box of single-serving bags of bat-shaped pretzels. I want to try a little harder with class Halloween treats this year, but not too hard.

You see, I am not a crafty person. I’ve been terrible at anything arts and crafts related my entire life. I even passed that particular gene onto my son, who used to literally cry when they did crafts at daycare. So, when I’m telling you that you can manage to put together these easy class Halloween treats, believe me, because I did it! It’s also important to note that it didn’t take me too much time to make any of these. These are doable, friends!

Easy Class Halloween Treats

               Mandarin Pumpkins

               Applesauce Mummies

               Lollipop Ghosts

               Monster Pudding Cups

Mandarin Pumpkins

Carving jack-o-lanterns has been a family favorite activity since my oldest wasn’t even 1 yet. We even have a special tool that my kids know only as “the pumpkin knife.” Because they love this activity as a family, my kids have broadly fallen in love with jack-o-lanterns and want them everywhere. We have a plastic jack-o-lantern decoration that lives on the shelf in our family room and my 2-year-old loves to randomly carry it around. I knew I had to try to find an easy jack-o-lantern class Halloween treat for my jack-o-lantern-loving kiddos.

Do your kids love jack-o-lanterns too? This may be the Halloween class treat for you! These are so cute and they couldn’t be easier. The pay-off here for the amount of effort required is huge!

What you need

               Mandarin orange cups

               Black Sharpie marker

How to make them

Take your Sharpie marker and draw jack-o-lantern faces on the clear plastic film lids of the single-serve mandarin orange cups. Get as creative as you can here! Try different shapes, different sizes, etc. Give every kid in the class a unique creation!

Applesauce mummies

My 2-year-old is currently obsessed with applesauce. She goes through so. many. pouches. I can’t complain too much about her love of applesauce, though, because it’s fruit that keeps her regular. And that’s very important when we are potty training. Because applesauce makes up such a huge portion of her personal food pyramid, I had to figure out a way to dress up an applesauce pouch to make it an easy class Halloween treat.

The good news is that I did find a way, and it’s crazy easy. It even includes googly eyes, and who doesn’t love googly eyes? Give these applesauce mummies a try, friends. They take just a tiny bit more effort than the mandarin pumpkins, so if you have a few extra minutes, try these!

What you need

               Applesauce pouches

White streamers/crepe paper or medical gauze (I used white streamers)

               Googly eyes

               Glue dots

How to make them

Wrap each individual pouch with your “bandage” of choice, overlapping slightly to make it look like a mummy. Then take two googly eyes, apply a glue dot on each and adhere the eyes to the top front of the wrapped pouch. So cute!

Lollipop ghosts

I know you’re not supposed to pick favorite children, but surely it’s OK to pick a favorite class Halloween treat. If that’s the case, then I pick these lollipop ghosts. These are seriously cute. And so easy!

If you want to delight your kids’ classmates, make these lollipop ghosts. A word of caution on these, though. Stick to making these for kids on the older side. I won’t be sending these with my 2-year-old to avoid any toddlers choking. No one wants choking toddlers.

What you need

Spherical lollipops (I used Tootsie Pops)

               Basket coffee filters

Ribbon (any color you choose – I kept things monochromatic with white ribbon)

               Black Sharpie marker

How to make them

Place a wrapped lollipop in the center of an upside-down basket coffee filter. Gather the remaining filter around the lollipop stick and tie with a ribbon. Then get your artistic juices flowing as you draw a ghost face on the lollipop. I went for the classic oval shapes for both eyes and mouth to give it an obvious ghost feel, but feel free to get creative with your faces!

Monster pudding cups

If you really want to wow your kids and their classmates this Halloween, and you don’t mind giving them a full-on indulgent treat, these monster pudding cups are the class Halloween treat for you. These monster pudding cups take a few extra minutes to make versus the other treats on this list, but they’re still fairly quick and easy. And what kid doesn’t want his very own edible monster on Halloween?

What you need

Pudding cups (any flavor, I used chocolate)

               Black Sharpie marker

               2 wrapped Rolo candies

               Glue dots

How to make them

Use your Sharpie marker to draw a monster face on one side of each pudding cup. Get creative here. You can really go cute or scary here depending on the age of your kids. Then apply one glue dot to a flat side of each of two wrapped Rolo candies. Adhere one Rolo to the bottom left side of the face you’ve drawn, and the other Rolo to the bottom right side of the face. These are your monster’s neck bolts and they really put this class Halloween treat over the top.
