Are you a woman who struggles to find a decent bra after you’ve had kids? I can’t promise that these bras will work for you, but I’m happy to share my favorite wireless bras after kids with you.

You all know that I struggle with fashion. I have written about my personal style struggles in my posts about my 2024 home stretch goals and my winter mom uniform. What I didn’t cover in either of these posts, though, is my biggest fashion struggle, something that no one sees – a bra!

To be honest, I have always struggled to find a good bra. I have oddly shaped breasts that are just not what bra manufacturers have in mind when they’re creating bras for the mass market. But after I had two pregnancies and breastfed two kids (one successfully!), boy did my struggles increase in the bra department! What was a difficult task before kids became nearly impossible after kids. Let’s just say that I need some help lifting and separating.

Mission: Impossible

Making matters worse (or at least more difficult) in my quest for a decent bra, I can’t really tolerate underwire bras anymore after I’ve had kids. Every single underwire bra I have tried post kids has painfully poked me in the armpit. It legitimately hurts, so it’s definitely not worth the pain. That means I’m limited to wireless bras, which historically don’t have the lift and separation that I’m after. See what I mean about this task being nearly impossible?

Well, over the last few years, I’ve tried to accomplish the impossible. I have tried a lot of wireless bras to find something decent. And I mean a lot. Although I can’t say that I have found the perfect wireless bras after kids (nothing will make me have super model boobs after breastfeeding two babies outside of plastic surgery), I have found my favorite wireless bras after kids. These work for me for everyday use, and I hope they will work for you too!

My Favorite Wireless Bras after Kids

               Soma Enbliss

               Warner’s No Side Effects Lift

Soma Enbliss

If you’ve entered the world of wireless bras, you’ve probably come across the Soma Enbliss Wireless bra. It’s talked about a lot for a reason. Let’s get into the things I like about it, and what I don’t like about it (although not a deal breaker, this is one of my favorite wireless bras after kids, after all).

What I Like

There are lots of great things to like about the Enbliss bra.

Variety

I like the classic version of this wireless bra, but it comes in lots of different versions, including full-coverage, lacy, and unlined. There is probably an Enbliss version that will appeal to you.

Support

Of all the wireless bras I have tried, the Enbliss bra has the best support. I’m sure this has a lot to do with the construction of the bra and the materials used, but I can also say that this bra’s two rows of hooks really help out in this area. Categorically, wireless bras that had only one hook got immediately dismissed and returned.

Lift

Surprisingly, the Enbliss wireless bra provides decent lift. When I first saw this bra, I was doubtful that it would provide the lift that I need, but it does a pretty good job in that category. I think it might have something to do with the band under the cups, but I’m no bra construction expert. All I know is that it works pretty well

Comfort

Up there with support and lift, comfort is one of the most important things I look for when I’m trying to determine my favorite wireless bras after kids. I mean, I’m up and down off the floor, lifting kids, and running around like a chicken with my head cut off for several hours of the day. I need to be comfortable! Happily, the Enbliss knocks comfort out of the park. I can and have slept in this bra with zero negative consequences. This is a comfortable one, gals.

Smooth

Maybe I’m old (yes, I know I’m old and this isn’t up for debate), but I don’t want people to be able to see my bra through my clothes. I want it to lay smoothly against my skin and not be a flashing sign to look at my breasts. They’re not exactly my favorite physical feature. The Enbliss bra does a great job at being smooth and unobtrusive under my clothes, so this is a definite tick in its favor.

Biggest Issues

Alas, the Enbliss bra isn’t perfect. There are things I don’t love about this wireless bra, but it’s important to remember that this is still one of my favorite wireless bras after kids so these aren’t deal-breakers.

Cost

At first blush, the Soma Enbliss Wireless bra appears to be a little on the pricey side. Its list price is $50, which isn’t nothing. However, you can find a sale on this bra at almost any time. Don’t let the sticker price dissuade you from trying this bra if you think it sounds like it would be a good fit for you (get it?).

Separation

I’m not a cleavage loving gal. I’d like more separation than cleavage. Because of that, one of my knocks on the Enbliss Wireless Bra is that it doesn’t do a great job with separation. It’s not horrible or anything. It doesn’t affect the comfort of the bra. And if you do prefer a bit of cleavage, then this is a positive for this bra rather than a negative. Just know your preferences.

Top layer

I sang the praises above of the smooth appearance of this bra under clothes. That’s largely due to a soft outer layer that covers the entire front of the bra. Although I love this outer layer for its smoothing effect, I have that it tends to roll up at the band. It doesn’t really do anything to impact the performance of the bra, but it can be a little annoying. But seriously, if this is the worst thing I can say about this bra, I think I’m in pretty good shape when it comes to finding wireless bras after kids.

Warner’s No Side Effects

I haven’t heard as much hubbub about the other entry on my list of favorite wireless bras after kids, Warner’s No Side Effects Lift Wireless bra. But don’t let the lack of chatter fool you, this is a good option for many ladies. Here are my pros and cons about this bra.

What I Like

There is a lot to like about the No Side Effects Lift bra if you’re on the hunt for wireless bras after kids.

Cost

When I was originally doing research on to find wireless bras after kids, a lot of the bras I found and tried had pretty steep price tags. I’m a frugal gal at heart, so it pained me to pay upwards of $89 for a single wireless bra. And almost without fail, the expensive wireless bras didn’t work for me. So when I found the No Side Effects Lift Wireless bra and it’s reasonable price, I was overjoyed. Because I buy this bra from Amazon, the price is extremely variable. But I’ve never paid more than $25 for this bra.

Variety

Although I’m specifically singing the praises of the lift version of the No Side Effects Wireless bra, if you are t he magical unicorn woman who doesn’t need a little extra lift after having kids, it does come in a version without lift. You can also find an underwire version too, if you haven’t declared war on underwire like I have.

Support

Similar to the Enbliss Wireless bra, the No Side Effects Lift has two rows of hooks that provide great support. Seriously, it must be men making bras that have only one row of hooks.

Lift

OK, lift is where the No Side Effects Lift Wireless bra shines. The cups in this bra contain a little boob stool in the bottom that just give your breasts a little help defying gravity. It’s not really padding or push-up at all, it just provides that little bit of assistance that most of us could use.

Separation

Where the Enbliss didn’t provide complete separation, the No Side Effects does exactly this. I happen to like to keep everything in its own zone, so this is a positive for me. If you like a bit of cleavage, this won’t be the bra for you.

Comfort

Wow, is this a comfortable bra. The comfort and the lift are definitely the two things that set this bra apart and make it to my list of favorite wireless bras after kids. It actually feels like you aren’t wearing anything. If I need to sleep in a bra, it’s this one.

Smooth

Similar to the Enbliss, the No Side Effects Lift is very smooth under clothes. And as an added bonus, it also actively smooths your skin and breasts while you’re wearing it. How does it do this? The No Side Effects Lift Wireless bra has a side panel that smooths what I affectionately refer to as my chicken cutlets. You know the chicken cutlets. They’re those little fat bulges that appear in your armpits when you’re wearing a bra. If you hate these little things as much as I do, you need to try the No Side Effects bras. They do a great job at keeping them under control. Just stay away from this bra if you like to wear racerback-style shirts or shirts that have larger armpit holes because you’ll be able to see the bra in these types of shirts.

Biggest Issues

Unfortunately, the No Side Effects Lift Wireless bra is also not perfect. There are a few drawbacks to it that you should know about before you buy. Clearly, this still makes my list of favorite wireless bras after kids, so these aren’t serious flaws, at least for me.

Not cup sized

My biggest issue with the No Side Effects Lift Wireless bra is that they are sold in standard S, M, L type sizes rather than in cup sizes. If you happen to be a perfect size L or whatever, this won’t impact you, but for the rest of us, it makes for a slightly less ideal fit. I really wish Warner’s would start selling this bra in cup sizes, because that would make me love it even more!

Stretch out

Because these bras aren’t sold in cup sizes, they have more give than my other pick, the Enbliss Wireless bra. What this means in a practical way is that they stretch out more quickly. Now, because this bra is so well-priced, that’s not a deal breaker for me because once they stretch out beyond repair, it’s not too big of a hit to the pocketbook to buy a new one. But if you want to buy a bra and have it for years, this might not be the bra for you.
